About ACE

The Association of CGD Entities (ACE) was established on December 30, 2020, as a not-for-profit organization under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. With its headquarters in New Delhi, ACE is dedicated to promoting, supporting, and accelerating the growth of the City Gas Distribution (CGD) sector in India. The association serves as a collaborative platform for key stakeholders across the industry, working together to shape a cleaner, more sustainable energy future centered around natural gas.

ACE plays a pivotal role in advocating policy reforms, promoting innovation, and facilitating knowledge-sharing among CGD companies, regulators, and government bodies. The organization is deeply committed to enabling energy accessibility, environmental sustainability, and economic growth through the expanded adoption of natural gas infrastructure and services across the country.

The association’s core membership includes some of the most prominent names in the industry- Adani Total Gas Ltd., Gujarat Gas Ltd., HCG Enterprise, IRM Energy, Megha Gas, THINK Gas (including AG&P which is part of THINK Gas now) and Torrent Gas Ltd. In addition, ACE’s associate members include Haryana City Gas and IRM Energy Ltd., reflecting a broad and inclusive representation of stakeholders within the sector. Together, these members work under the ACE umbrella to address industry challenges, promote best practices, and drive innovation in India’s energy transition journey.

Vision

To establish Natural Gas as a vital enabler of India’s energy transition, making it as the fuel of choice for households, businesses, industries & transportation through CGD networks, facilitating leveraging of Biogas, Green Hydrogen etc. and to act as a vital enabler for realisation of GOI’s vision of 6% to 15% Natural Gas in the energy mix.

Mission

To foster a sustainable, inclusive and growth-oriented ecosystem for the City Gas Distribution (CGD) sector by advocating forward-thinking policies and accelerating the nationwide adoption of PNG, CNG & other modern low carbon and clean energy solutions through strategic engagement with Stakeholders, Regulator & the Government and helping establish an ecosystem for achievement of achievement of low carbon transition of Viksit Bharat and achievement of Net Zero by 2070.

What we Do?

At ACE, we drive the sustainable growth of the City Gas Distribution (CGD) sector through strong policy advocacy, ethical leadership, and industry collaboration. We work closely with regulators, ministries, and stakeholders to shape policies that promote natural gas as a preferred, eco-friendly energy source. By championing operational excellence and innovation, we help CGD companies achieve global standards.


Our efforts include raising consumer awareness about the benefits of natural gas, fostering knowledge exchange on clean energy advancements, and building strategic alliances both nationally and globally. We also focus on inclusive development, skill-building, and workforce diversity to ensure equitable growth across the sector. With a deep commitment to sustainability and climate action, ACE positions natural gas as a key driver in India’s journey toward a low-carbon, net-zero future.
